YATE GUIDE is the most popular model from the YATE series of self-inflating mats. This is mainly due to the surface material, the lightweight core with WARM ZONE and the REVERSE valve. A lightweight core with WARM ZONE ensures that there is more foam under the back to ensure sufficient insulation. At the same time, the mat maintains the maximum lying surface and a comfortable thickness of 3.8 cm.

Suitable for VHT and mountain climbing. The YATE GUIDE model uses a polyester 30 D upper material (weight 30 g/m2), which ensures a low weight while maintaining the material's resistance to damage and punctures. Nevertheless, we recommend using this mat in a tent, tent or with a ground sheet. The mat received the prestigious Czech Outdoor Award 2016.

This product is covered by an extended warranty (4 years ). More in the terms and conditions. The mat comes with a transport case and a repair kit. The pocket for the repair kit is inside the package to avoid damage or loss.

Modern products are usually not only nice to look at, but hide many technical features and details that are not visible, but significantly increase the quality product and makes it special. 3 factors are the most important for self-inflating mats: 1) low weight, 2) small volume when packed and 3) long service life.

We achieve low weight by choosing the highest quality materials for both the surface and the core. The material must be light, but at the same time strong and durable. Weight reduction is also achieved by lightening the inner foam. But this must not be at the expense of comfort and the ability to insulate well. The choice of material and lightness has a significant effect on the size of the packaged product.

All our products have a double layer of insulation against air leakage, which is laminated to the outer fabric. This ensures high protection and a long product life. Each mat is tested 24 hours after production, thereby eliminating the risk of delivering a defective product from production.

HEAT RESISTANCE

A value that is increasingly being used for mats. Thermal resistance - R is a physical quantity that expresses the thermal insulation properties of the material. It is directly dependent on the material thickness and λ. When achieving the highest possible R value, the goal is to make the material thickness as large as possible and the λ value of the individual materials as low as possible. The thermal resistance R expresses the resistance of 1 m2 of material against the transmission of thermal energy at a temperature difference of 1 K. The coefficient of thermal conductivity λ expresses the property  material to conduct heat. It is the value of energy in W that passes through a material of thickness 1 m at a temperature difference of 1 K between the surfaces of the material. Explanations: R = d / λ (m2.KW-1); d – material thickness (m); λ – Coefficient of thermal conductivity of the material (Wm-1.K-1).
