Compass with a compass on a transparent plastic base. Together with the map, the compass helps with correct navigation and orientation in the field. At the base of the compass is a rotating wheel with luminescent points indicating the cardinal points and meridian lines. A balanced metal needle is in a liquid capsule and points to the Earth's north magnetic pole. The motherboard also includes a magnifying lens, holes for plotting controls, and a millimeter scale. A cord for hanging around the neck is included.
