Atacama is a legionary cap with a folding three-part peak. In the back, a pocket with a zipper hides a flap to protect the neck from the sun. Made of quick-drying supplex material and nylon fabric that repels mosquitoes and other insects.

When the weather is bright to scorching, we choose the Atacama cap - a lightweight cap with a legionnaire zippered flap and UV protection. The supplex polyamide outer material and mesh lining are highly breathable in hot weather, and the wicking eyebrow band on the inside helps keep sweat at bay. Easily packable, the cap has a 7cm triple-folded peak that can be easily stored away when the sun isn't shining in your eyes. There is also a mosquito repellent outer fabric to keep biting insects away in warmer climates.

PROTECTION AGAINST INSECTS

Our technical headgear uses our DEET-based insect repellent on the outer fabric to protect against biting insects such as mosquitoes and midges that can transmit harmful diseases such as malaria. The Advisory Committee on the Prevention of Malaria in Travelers recommends DEET-based insect repellents as the most effective protection. Our treatment is guaranteed for at least five washes.
