Nylon is resistant to splashing water, so you can spread it out on damp grass, for example, without any worries. The ripstop treatment prevents possible tearing of the mat - stronger fibers are woven into the fabric at short intervals, which form a grid, and any tear stops at the fiber and does not continue further. Pins are included in the package. Their use will prevent the pad from shifting and folding during use. All this together makes the NC1716 mat very comfortable and functional.
