Product detailed description

Description

Universal ointment for the most common skin problems - from insect bites and scratches to bites and other minor wounds. It does not sting.

Abilar VET made in Finland by Repolar contains 10% spruce resin (Picea abies) collected in Finnish Lapland and cold purified. The positive effect of the resin on healing and contributing to the reduction of the microbial load has been described in several studies published in renowned scientific journals.
The substances contained soothe itching and irritation caused by skin lesions and contribute to faster wound healing.
Abilar VET leaves a protective film on the skin that does not dissolve even in wet conditions (paws, claws). The resinous bitter taste of the ointment reduces the animal's effort to lick the wound.

Ingredients

Petrolatum, paraffinum liquidum, Norway spruce (Picea abies) resin, alcohol denat., cera microcristallina, sorbitan oleate, cera alba , hydrogenated castor oil, stearic acid.

Usage and dosage

Treatment of the affected area should be carried out every 1-3 days or as needed. The affected area should be cleaned and dried, Abilar VET ointment should be added and, if necessary, a new dry bandage applied.

  • Dry, rough and irritated skin: apply to the skin a thin layer of ointment.
  • Superficial wounds: apply a thin layer of ointment and leave the affected area, if possible, without a bandage. If necessary, a breathable bandage can be applied to prevent staining.

Due to the cleaning properties of the resin, wounds may appear to enlarge at first, which is a common effect that does not slow healing.< /p>

Try to prevent the animal from licking the affected area, as its saliva slows healing. Use a protective collar if necessary.

The use of Abilar VET Ointment should be continued until the skin lesion or wound has healed. The time required to treat affected areas can range from a few days to a few weeks, depending on the depth of the wound, for example. In case of more serious lesions, it is advisable to seek professional treatment from a veterinarian.

If the health condition does not improve or the health condition worsens, contact your veterinarian. The preparation is not a substitute for veterinary care and medicines recommended by a veterinarian.
