Brand of the Portuguese manufacturer of knives MAM was founded in 1870 by Manuel Antonio Martins. His work in the company is now followed by the 5th generation of the family. It is therefore a family business with a strong link to tradition. Production takes place directly in Portugal and still contains a high proportion of handwork.

Individual production processes and some design solutions are protected by patents. For example, the safety of the folding knives is unique, which is very functional and reliable.
Steel for the production of knives comes from Germany. In order to achieve the best possible properties, it also contains elements such as silicon, carbon, molybdenum and vanadium. Its hardness then reaches 57-59 degrees on the Rockwell scale.
The wooden handle of folding knives gives the user a specific feeling in the hand that is completely different from knives with a plastic handle. Beech is most often used for production. But the more exotic bubinga with its dark brown to red color is also very popular, and the offer also includes smooth olive.
