Tropical Turf has a fibrous and airy structure that allows the absorption of a large amount of water. It is therefore excellent for creating a natural-looking background in tropical humid terrariums. It is also possible to cover the bottom of the terrarium with it, or to cover, for example, the structure of the waterfall. Tropical Turf is a suitable alternative to xaxim thanks to its low acquisition costs.

Tropical Turf is a purely natural product and is ideal for growing in tropical humid terrariums with plenty of water and the right lighting different types of plants (eg mosses, ferns or bromeliads).

Tropical Turf has a relatively low pH (3.5), which means that it is not suitable for all plants. When planting these sheets of peat, it is therefore necessary to select those types of plants that are suitable for an acidic environment. However, low pH is especially appreciated by keepers of tropical frogs, because a more acidic environment has fungicidal effects, and tadpoles in particular do very well in it. If we would like to increase the pH, it is possible to use natural fertilizers.
