The peat moss from the Lucky Reptile company is grown directly for the purposes of terraristics in controlled nurseries, so no natural location is harmed by its collection and sale. Most sphagnum mosses are protected by law and their collection in the wild is prohibited.

The advantage of compressed sphagnum moss is the possibility of long-term storage. As soon as we decide to use this moss substrate, all we have to do is soak a brick in lukewarm water and within a few moments we will get 5 or 25 liters of wet litter for tropical terrariums, to create a shelter or substrate to cover a clutch of eggs.

Peat is an excellent and necessary supplement when breeding reptiles and amphibians from tropical rainforests . It is ideal to spread moist peat moss on the main substrate in the terrarium, we can also use it to gently cover the clutches of eggs in the hatchery or add it to the transport boxes together with the moisture-retaining gel (this will provide the animals with a long-term supply of moisture).
