Small species of freshwater shrimps and prawns are a common food component in nature for reptiles living near water sources. They are very readily accepted by these reptiles. Fresh canned shrimp with no added flavorings are much more nutritious and healthier than dried or frozen shrimp.

Lucky Reptile's Herp Diner shrimp are freshwater, not marine. . Marine shrimp should not be offered to freshwater turtles or other reptiles as they have different nutritional values and are not natural food for these reptiles. However, Herp Diner shrimp is a tasty and healthy food.

There are two sizes of shrimp available, small for juveniles and larger for adults.
