Special natural substrate for dry desert and savanna terrariums.

Many desert reptile species do not live directly on sand, but inhabits places with different types of soil. Desert Bedding is ideal for these species. Bearded agams, spiny-tailed agams, all species of ground iguanas and many species of geckos will feel right at home on this substrate.

Desert Bedding contains soil from very dry areas and also clay, which allows animals to dig shelters. Underneath, this substrate is easily kept moist, which is important even for species from the driest areas.

This substrate is ideal, for example, for bearded agams (Pogona vitticeps).

Desert Bedding from different desert and savannah regions of the world is available in different color designs depending on which area it comes from. You can choose between natural (Desert Bedding), red (Outback Red), yellow (Golden Yellow) and white (Snow White) substrate.

Usage: you can immediately pour the substrate into the terrarium or mix it with water in a ratio of 4:1, create a moldable mixture and model the horizon. To ensure the strength of the modeled horizon (e.g. a shelter in the form of a burrow), we recommend mixing the Desert Bedding substrate with Herp Pottery clay granules. Regularly remove impurities and, depending on the number of animals kept, regularly replace the substrate with a new one.
