p>Before connecting the stove to the gas cartridge, read this user manual thoroughly. Keep the instructions carefully for future use. ATTENTION: the cooker can be very dangerous if used incorrectly. Use only in well-ventilated areas.
The Blade Fastboil MK II tourist stove is designed for propane-butane fuel for disposable cartridges with direct overpressure of a mixture of propane and butane. Cartridges containing propane-butane liquid gas under constant pressure in the ratio of 30:70 PB are intended for the operation of this cooker. The cartridge must be manufactured according to EN 417 and equipped with a self-sealing valve with a 7/16" connection thread. Cartridges are disposable, they are not allowed to be refilled.
Technical parameters:
Fuel connection overpressure: 0 - 7000 mbar
Nozzle diameter: 0.22 mm
Nominal flow rate: 1.0 kW (72.8 g/h)
Seal: 8 x 1 mm - inner ring
Before use:
1. Connecting the cooker to the cartridge
Cartridges made according to EN 417, equipped with a self-sealing valve with a connection thread 7/16" are intended for the operation of this cooker.
Before connecting the cooker to the cartridge make sure the sealing "O" ring is in perfect condition. If this part shows signs of wear, replace it. It is an 8x1 dimension. Use a sharp object to remove the worn gasket, a blunt object of the appropriate dimensions to seat the new gasket.
Check that the cooker control valve is fully closed - close by turning to the right.
Connect the cartridge to the cooker is only possible in an outdoor environment, out of reach of people and any source of ignition, i.e. open flame, electric discharge and the like.
After connecting the cooker to the cartridge, at least make sure by smell that this system is perfectly tight. Never do this with an open flame. If the system shows signs of leakage after assembly, disassemble the system and check the seals. If you are unable to remove the defect, disassemble the cooker and do not use it! Do not ignite it and do not approach an open fire or any other source of ignition.
The cooker and the cartridge are equipped with a right-hand thread for mutual connection. When putting the stove on the cartridge, it is necessary to proceed with the necessary care so as not to cross the threads (the so-called "screwing over the thread"), otherwise the stove will be destroyed due to improper handling.
The stove is equipped with a double seal, so there is usually no gas leakage when connecting to the cartridge. However, when screwing on the cartridge, a faint hiss of gas can be heard by opening the bomb valve with the opening pin. With another turn, the seal will fit on the cartridge and ensure the tightness of the system. Further violent, unnecessary tightening leads to rapid wear of the seal, or to destroy the cooker thread! Occasional light smearing of the cooker thread with vaseline will significantly extend its life.
2. Ignition and operation
Ensure the stove with the cartridge in a vertical position. Unfold the container supports. Turn the gas cap to the left to open the gas supply and press the red button to light the flame (if this does not work, use matches or a lighter). When igniting the flame, open the gas to full power.
If the cartridge has been in the cold and quiet for a long time, it must be thoroughly shaken before use, otherwise the flame will "take off" after lighting the stove for about one minute. If a cooking vessel is placed on the stove before lighting the flame, the mentioned phenomenon almost does not occur.
When using a completely new cartridge that has been exposed to heat for a long time, after lighting the stove, a massive yellowish flames. Immediately close the control valve to minimum until the flame subsides. This phenomenon will most certainly occur if the cartridge cooker is strongly tilted.
During operation, avoid boiling the liquid from the cooking container, otherwise it will be damaged or completely destroyed, as well as the cooker.
Do not leave the stove unattended during operation.
When operating the stove, keep a safe distance from flammable materials - at least 0.5 m. Do not place flammable objects on the stove. If you are in doubt about the correct function of the product, do not use it and contact the seller or service.
3. Stopping operation
Stopping operation is done by tightening the control valve to the right until the flame goes out. The cooker can then be disconnected from the cartridge by unscrewing. As a rule, perform this operation only after the cooker has completely cooled down. Removing the cooker from the cartridge must never be done during operation!! After the end of operation, always separate the cooker from the cartridge, this will prevent the cartridge from emptying due to a small leak. This can be caused by dirt that gets between the cooker and the cartridges. Therefore, keep this area clean.
4. Warning for emergency situations
If the flame blows outside the active part of the burner, immediately close the control valve and slightly tighten the bomb cooker. If the flame continues to appear, extinguish it with a stream of water, which you usually have ready for heating. If the flame cannot be extinguished, throw away, or kick the cooker and cartridge to a safe place. Ensure that no one approaches the cooker at a distance of less than 20 m until the gas has burned out. Do not use the cooker afterwards!
5. Important notices
- Caution: When operating this appliance, air (oxygen) is consumed and carbon dioxide is produced. Do not ignite or use this appliance in unventilated areas, rooms, tents or vehicles. It is life-threatening to use the stove to heat a closed space - inconspicuous carbon monoxide poisoning!
- The stove may only be operated by an adult according to these instructions, do not entrust the operation to children!
During operation, the stove must be placed in a stable position and keep it under constant supervision. - Do not use two or more stoves next to each other to heat one container.
- Use only reasonably large and reasonably heavy containers.
- Do not use the stove for purposes other than heating food and drinks in the container.
- Active parts of the cooker - burner, container supports, or leeward - they are during operation and about 10 min. then hot, so do not touch them at this time!
- Never use a stove that shows signs of damage or has a defective or worn seal.
- Handle the stove with care, protect it from falling on ground and damage
- Do not make any modifications to the stove.
6. Disassembling, cleaning and assembling the stove
The stove consists of two main parts: the valve body and the burner, which are connected to each other with a thread and sealed with an "O" ring. The disassembly of these parts is necessary in order to clean the nozzle. Even a small amount of clogging sharply reduces the performance of the stove.
Do not use needles and pins for cleaning, as this damages the nozzle and may break the tip of the needle in the nozzle and thus destroy the stove. A negative pressure created by the mouth or blowing through is often enough to clean. It is also possible to use very thin wire.
7. Storage and transport
In principle, store the cooker in a dry, non-aggressive environment.
Transport in the supplied plastic case.
Always transport the cooker separated from the cartridge.
8. Pressure vessel with gas - cartridge
The cartridge contains liquefied, highly flammable propane-butane gas under constant pressure. Follow the instructions directly on the cartridge.
9. Technical data and disposal
Bringing 1 liter of water to a boil in approx. 1 minute.
Fuel: propane-butane up to 0.8 MPa
Maximum permissible load of the cooker with the container including contents: 3 kg
Maximum diameter of the used container: 20 cm
At the end of its useful life, hand the cooker over to the collection point for raw materials. Put the packaging in the recycled waste
10. Warranty conditions
The product is covered by a legal warranty of 24 months from the date of sale. This provision does not apply to products damaged by violence, improper handling or unprofessional repair.
11. Assembling the cooker with pot
Place the cooker on a flat and stable surface. For better stability, we recommend using a plastic tripod for the cartridge (see picture 1 in the English version).
Put the pot on the stove only after lighting the flame. The flame should be low and the pot filled with at least some water or food to heat.
Place the pot on the stove where there are small pins and a bent arrow on the pot. After installation, secure the container by turning it to the right. Make sure the pot fits well on the cooker.
Fill the pot to a maximum of 750ml to prevent food from overflowing during cooking.
Use the handles on the pot for handling during and after cooking, possibly a plastic edging at the stove. Other parts are very hot!
Before removing the pot from the cooker, turn off the flame by turning the cap all the way to the right.
Make sure all parts are cool before storing the set.
The pot is made of aluminum with a non-stick coating. Protect from scratching. Use only plastic, Teflon or other cutlery that will not scratch the container!
Do not use a container other than the one included in the set for cooking!
