Under the black-and-white field of the mostly plastic chessboard, there is a tin plate, which tells the story of the magnetism of the pieces and thus ensures that the pieces will stand properly on their field. The CheckMate chessboard can be folded in half for easy transport and all the pieces can be stored inside.
