As cold-blooded animals, reptiles need external heat sources. Arcadia infrared heating lamps have many advantages and benefits for farmed animals.

In terms of wattage and distance, we can easily create a place where the temperature will reach 26 - 75°C. Therefore, the ideal heating bulb can be selected for most types of reptiles. Infrared light is invisible to reptiles, so we can heat the terrarium to the desired temperature even at night without disturbing the natural light cycle.

We recommend using these heating bulbs together with quality thermostats that precisely control the temperature.

The Arcadia Solar Basking Infrared bulbs do not provide UVB, they are only intended to create local warm spots. Always keep in mind that most reptile species need a quality source of UVB radiation - bulbs, fluorescent lights.

It is advisable to combine these infrared bulbs with Arcadia Basking Solar Flood and Spot daytime heating bulbs.

TIP: aim the bulb at a flat stone in the terrarium or a rough branch. They absorb the heat that the light bulb emits, and then emit it back for a certain period of time even when the light bulb is already switched off.
