Description
ALAVIS™ 5 nourishes joint cartilage, supports the lubricating properties of joint fluid, helps with movement problems in dogs and cats. It contains all the important substances that are normally found in joints, connective tissues and cartilage and thus enables comprehensive care of the musculoskeletal system.
ALAVIS™ 5 is recommended to administer
- dogs and cats with joint problems (especially older animals or post-traumatic conditions),
- puppies of large and giant breeds during development,
- sporting and working dogs of all age categories such as are service dogs, racing dogs, sled dogs, agility training dogs, pulling, dog trekking, fly-ball, dog dancing, etc.

Effective substances in 1 tablet: glucosamine sulfate 500 mg, chondroitin sulfate 200 mg, MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) 200 mg, collagen II. Type 60 mg, hyaluronic acid 18 mg, vitamin C 20 mg.
Glucosamine sulfate plays an important role in cartilage metabolism. It stimulates cartilage cells (chondrocytes) to synthesize proteoglycans (basic structural components of cartilage) and is the main substrate for their formation. Glucosamine is actively taken up by cartilage. Administering glucosamine slows down the development of degenerative cartilage changes that have already occurred.
Chondroitin sulfate It is an important part of articular cartilage. It binds a large amount of water, which hydrates the cartilage, promotes the formation of proteoglycans and reduces collagenolytic activity. Administering chondroitin slows down the destructive changes in cartilage, relieves joint pain, improves mobility and moderates the course of joint inflammation.
MSM is a substance containing organically bound sulfur that acts to strengthen ligaments and tendons, suppression of inflammation and pain and for muscle regeneration and relaxation. It also exhibits strong antioxidant and other positive effects and is a unique source of sulfur compounds that have a positive effect on the body, especially in damaged joint cartilage.
Hyaluronic acid is mainly found in connective tissues tissues, where it forms the main component of joint synovial fluid. The higher the acid concentration, the better the viscoelastic properties of the cartilage and their better nutrition. Its administration normalizes the properties of joint synovial fluid, counteracts cartilage degeneration and restores its original properties.
Collagen II. type is the main protein of articular elastic cartilage, where it ensures its strength, flexibility and resistance. The collagen contained in ALAVIS™ 5 is hydrolyzed, which means that it is enzymatically split into smaller particles that are better absorbed in the digestive tract and are therefore much more usable for building and restoring damaged cartilage. The lack of collagen in the joint and cartilage leads to mobility disorders and gradual degenerative changes. Collagen ensures the strength and flexibility of connective tissues.
Vitamin C is needed for the metabolism of amino acids, especially the amino acids hydroxylysine and hydroxyproline, which are very important for the synthesis of collagen. Vitamin C also plays an important role in the development of bones and cartilage. Lack of vitamin C results in less strength of collagen fibers not only in cartilage, but also in ligaments and tendons. Vitamin C further supports the absorption of iron and supports the formation of white blood cells, which play an important role in immunity and protect the body's cells with their antioxidant effect.

Method of use: Tablets are administered daily according to the recommended dosage directly into the mouth or with a piece of food, possibly crushed into feed. Animals usually accept the product without problems.
Duration of use: Administer the product optimally three months, then take a 1-3 month break and use the product again.
